Oh, how naive I was!

I'm really lazy about deleting messages from my sent box for my personal e-mail. Actually, it's more that I just don't think about it often. So, I was going through some old sent mail the other day and deleting messages from 2005. I thought it would be interesting to read a few of them to see what I was thinking about back then. I found some telling my friends that our homestudy was approved and telling them that once our dossier was sent to China we had a "very long wait" ahead of us of 6-7 months. I laughed out loud when I read those. If only it had been 6-7 months. I found that pretty humorous.

Parenting Practice

I finally figured out how to post pictures all by myself. I feel like such a geek (and I mean that in a good way). These are from the holidays with our newphew and godson Aiden. Isn't he a cutie? This was the first time I ever fed a baby. I was very excited.

Referrals are out

Referrals were received yesterday and they go up to October 13th. Like most months, I'm not sure whether this is good news or bad. They covered 16 days but apparently there weren't any LIDs for the first few days in October so they didn't really do that many days. On Rumor Queen's good and bad case scenarios the 13th falls right in the middle between the two. I keep hearing that the rest of October and November are really heavy so I don't know what expect. On a positive note, we're 57 LID dates away from our referral. I had been hoping to get our referral at the end of May/beginning of June but now I think it's probably more likely to be end of June at the earliest. Of course there's no way to predict what they're going to do but I'm hoping for June. Fingers crossed everyone!
